A San Jose seventh-grade teacher’s plan to dissect the carcass of a pregnant cat during a science class has drawn the wrath of animal rights activists. “We’re concerned because the children are so young,” said Kathy Snow of the Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley. Miller Junior High School principal Andrew Garrido defended the planned dissection, saying it would vividly show students how the reproductive system works.
