Yorba Linda : Authorities End Search for Missing Plane

Share

The search for a Yorba Linda couple whose single-engine Cessna never arrived at Fullerton Municipal Airport as scheduled was called off Thursday after more than two weeks, authorities said.

The search for John Morrow, 70, his wife, Pat, 65, and the family’s three poodles was officially suspended Thursday morning after Civil Air Patrol volunteers found no trace of the plane in the San Bernardino Mountains, Lt. Col. Ernie Pearson said.

Air and ground rescue crews centered the search near Lake Arrowhead along the flight path of the six-seat plane, Pearson said.

The couple took off from an airport in Boulder City, Nev., shortly before noon on Feb. 23 and were due to arrive at the Fullerton airport about two hours later, authorities said.

The search will be resumed if any information is received about the plane’s possible location, Pearson said.
