Fioravanti is Winner of Santa Anita Feature

Fioravanti beat Bolder Than Bolder by half a length Wednesday to win the $48,000 allowance feature at Santa Anita.

The 4-year-old son of Northern Dancer covered the grassy mile in 1:35 4/5, then survived a protest by Al Rahib’s rider Pat Valenzuela, who claimed interference at the top of the stretch.

Fioravanti, a Kentucky-bred who won three of seven starts in Europe over the last two years, returned $5.80, $3.20 and $2.60.
