Cal State Fullerton Softball Tournament : Glomboske Single Lets Titans Slip Past South Carolina in 10
Tiny Glomboske’s single in the 10th inning scored catcher Michelle Gromacki and gave Cal State Fullerton a 1-0 victory over South Carolina in the final round of pool play in the PONY softball tournament at the Titan softball complex.
Winning pitcher Connie Clark (13-0) allowed South Carolina three hits and struck out 13 batters.
After nine innings, the international tiebreaker rule went into effect with each team placing a runner at second base. South Carolina could not get the runner home, but the Titans loaded the bases with two out and Glomboske got the game-winning hit.
Fullerton is 24-2 and finished the tournament’s pool play at 4-0. The Titans will face the winner of this morning’s Utah State-Cal Poly Pomona game at 4 p.m. today.

Cal State Long Beach 2, Arizona 0--Winning pitcher Sandy Winchester threw a two-hitter to lead the 49ers. Long Beach will play South Carolina at 12 p.m. today.
Michigan 4, Cal Poly Pomona 0--The Wolverine’s beat the fourth-ranked Broncos as pitcher Vicki Morrow threw a one-hitter.
