A small earthquake shook parts of Los Angeles shortly before noon, the California Institute of Technology reported. The temblor measured approximately 3.3 on the Richter scale and was centered one mile north of Inglewood, said Bob Finn at the Caltech seismology laboratory in Pasadena. Residents in Inglewood, southwest of downtown, called the Police Department about the temblor but there were no reports of damage, said Officer Cathy Smith.
