Sugar Ray Leonard made a triumphant return to his native Washington area and told about 1,000 fans that he would hold a news conference next week to disclose his future intentions.
“All I want to say is that (Monday) night was fun. I did the impossible, I beat Marvelous Marvin Hagler. I’m not going to make any predictions. I’m not going to say any more.”
Leonard said his immediate plans were to take some time off and relax with his family at his Potomac, Md., estate.
