Tacoma Beats Lazers on Overtime Goal, 6-5

The Tacoma Stars beat the Lazers, 6-5, on an overtime goal by Joey Waters in a Major Indoor Soccer League game Wednesday night at the Tacoma Dome.

Waters scored 9:15 into overtime on an assist from Gary Heale. The Lazers, who led, 2-0, early, trailed, 5-4, in the fourth quarter, but Stuart Lee scored with just 18 seconds left to force the overtime.

The Lazers (14-34) will play at Minnesota Friday night. Tacoma, the Western Division champion, improved to 32-16.
