Colts’ McMillan Is Struck by Car, Faces Surgery
Running back Randy McMillan of the Indianapolis Colts suffered a career-threatening leg injury when he was hit by a car early Sunday near his home in Timonium, Md.
McMillan, 28, will undergo surgery this week to repair two broken bones in his left leg.
Police said McMillan was walking across the road at 2:15 a.m. because he believed he knew a driver who had been stopped on the other side by a policeman.
McMillan, a six-year NFL veteran, has led the Colts in rushing the past three seasons. Last year he gained 609 yards rushing in 189 attempts. McMillan also caught 34 passes for 289 yards.
