Westwood : Hearing on Community Plan
Westwood’s updated community plan will be discussed at a public hearing Monday at 4 p.m. at Warner Avenue Elementary School, 615 Holmby Ave.
The new plan was developed by the city Planning Commission and a private consulting firm, Guren & Associates.
Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky, who proposed the new Westwood plan in 1984, said key changes will include reduced densities for both residential and commercial areas and preservation of historically and architecturally significant buildings.
Reports and maps of specific recommendations are available at the West Los Angeles Regional Library, 11360 Santa Monica Blvd.; Brentwood Library, 11810 San Vicente Blvd.; Palms Rancho Park Library, 2920 Overland Ave.; Westwood Park, 1375 Veteran Ave, and at Yaroslavsky’s West Los Angeles field office, 1140 S. Robertson Blvd., and Councilman Marvin Braude’s office, 1645 Corinth Ave.
