A 21-year-old Buena Park man was arrested Monday on suspicion of attempted murder in the stabbing of an elderly man.

Buena Park police spokesman Rich McMillen said that Albie Gregory Damm is accused of stabbing Tony Agapito Martinez, 69, when the victim refused to give him a ride at 3:55 a.m.

Martinez and his wife, who was not identified, were buying gasoline at an Arco station in the 7500 block of Orangthorpe Avenue when Damm approached them, McMillen said. Martinez was stabbed once in the chest.
