Two Oceanside residents died late Tuesday when their vehicles collided head-on in the 2300 block of Oceanside Boulevard, police reported.
Susan Elizabeth Mark, 27, of Garrison Drive and Richard Gene Vanguilder, 53, of Tulane Court were pronounced dead at the scene.
Mark was driving east on Oceanside Boulevard at 8:50 p.m. when she apparently crossed the center line into the westbound traffic and collided with Vanguilder’s vehicle, spokesman Bob George said.
“Several witnesses at the scene said Mark was driving her Camaro with the lights out and swerving in and out of the lanes,” George said.
