British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has written the theme music for Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s reelection campaign, her Conservative Party said Wednesday. Lloyd Webber, composer of the musicals “Starlight Express,” “Cats” and “Evita,” donated his services to the ruling party to write the music, recorded last week by a 72-piece orchestra. “We wanted an uplifting piece of forward-looking music,” said party chief of staff Michael Dobbs. “He has done an excellent job. It’s very, very catchy indeed.”
