A deputy marshal and three other men were charged with perjury after they allegedly lied to a grand jury about whether cocaine was present during a poker party attended by a Santa Maria judge. Arrested on charges of giving false testimony were Deputy Marshal Steven Reyburn, 32, of Santa Maria; William Frank Ostini, 37, of Santa Maria; Romiro Alcocer, 34, of Nipomo, and Craig Allen Stahl, 30, of Santa Maria, according to Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Vales. Bail was set at $10,000 each. Municipal Judge Michael J. Scott, 38, has pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing cocaine. As part of a plea bargain, he has promised to step down from his $76,000-a-year post.
