The Chunichi Dragons edged the Yakult Swallows, 4-3, in Japanese baseball Sunday despite a three-run homer by the Swallows’ Bob Horner, formerly with the Atlanta Braves.

It was Horner’s seventh homer of the season and his first in 30 at bats in his last seven games. His batting average is .400 for 11 games.

Horner also grounded out to third, struck out and fouled to the catcher.

The Hiroshima Toyo Carp had 17 hits, including a two-run home run by former major leaguer Dick Lancellotti, and beat the Yokohama Taiyo Whales, 9-3. Lancellotti has 13 home runs this season.
