Evacuees Return as Smoke From Landfill Fire Clears

WABASH, Ind. —
Residents who were forced to evacuate their homes and businesses because of thick smoke from a toxic fire at an industrial landfill were allowed to return home early Saturday, authorities said. No serious illnesses or injuries were reported in the Friday night fire.
