Del Harris, Don Nelson’s top assistant, was named head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks and promised that the team will move forward in the wake of a feud between Nelson and owner Herb Kohl.
Nelson, who won seven division titles in 11 seasons and was twice named NBA Coach of the Year, resigned last week and later announced that he will become part owner of the Golden State Warriors.
Harris, only the third head coach in the team’s history, signed a three-contract and said he hopes to finish his career in Milwaukee.
