Manuel Roman, 66, has been named to the Norwalk Planning Commission, replacing Luigi Vernola, who was appointed to the City Council last month. Born and raised in Norwalk, Roman is retired after a long career in the construction industry.
Roman was named to the commission by Councilman Marcial (Rod) Rodriguez. The vacancy was created when Vernola was appointed to replace Councilman Cecil N. Green, who won a special May 12 election in the 33rd State Senate District.
