Share

The city will mark its 100th birthday with a party and fireworks display from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. July 4 at the Fullerton Union High School stadium at the corner of Berkeley Avenue and Lemon Street, city officials have announced.

The celebration will feature entertainment, food booths, exhibits and dancing. A drawing will be held for a 1987 Acura Integra and a two-week cruise from Puerto Rico to Los Angeles through the Panama Canal.

Tickets, $4 for adults and $3 for children 3 to 11, are available at City Hall, from members of community groups, at shops designated as Centennial Centers and will be sold at the gate.

Proceeds from the drawing will benefit city’s centennial project: the $200,000 restoration of a federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) mural in the Police Department, formerly City Hall. The mural traces the history of California until the 1930s.
