A 25-year-old National City man who was struck head-on by a skidding pickup truck as his motorcycle approached a busy intersection died in surgery Monday, El Cajon police reported.
Ernest H. Lancette, a carpenter, was driving south on Billy Mitchell Drive near Cuyamaca Street when two vehicles collided, causing the pickup truck to slide sideways into oncoming traffic, Sgt. Jim Hunnel said.
