Hospital Denies Officer’s Claim
Your story on “Finger in Soup” that appeared May 14 contained a police officer’s claim that a pathologist at Glendora Community Hospital had identified an object found in a can of menudo soup as a finger.
I want stress that no employee or agent of Glendora Community Hospital rendered a determination or opinion regarding the object. We did, however, suggest that it be taken to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office for proper analysis and identification. That was the extent of our involvement in the incident.
