The charred body of a 6-year-old girl was found at an elementary school near her Fresno home. The name of the victim was withheld by police, who said an autopsy would be performed to determine whether the child, unclothed from the chest down, had been raped. Police Sgt. Dennis Ball said the body was discovered on the grounds of the Ainsworth School by two men on their way to church. The identity was quickly established, he said, but it could not immediately be determined whether she had been wounded or killed before she was set afire.
