Members of the Southside Serial Killer Task Force examined the remains of two women whose bodies were found in the South-Central area, but said the deaths do not appear to be related to a string of 17 earlier killings. Detectives said neither victim was immediately identified. One body, a woman who appeared to be in her early 20s, was found in a carport at an apartment complex in the 700 block of West Imperial Highway. The second victim was found about two miles away by a passer-by only minutes late. The second woman, who was about 30 years old, was found lying in the street near the curb in the 9300 block of Flower Street. Autopsies were ordered in both cases, detectives said.
