Local News in Brief : Pedestrian Dies in N. Hollywood Hit-Run

A North Hollywood man was killed Sunday when he was struck by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run accident, Los Angeles police said.
Andres Edmundo Gomez, 25, was hit at about 10 p.m. while walking south in a northbound lane of Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood, police said. Witnesses said the truck was traveling within the speed limit, police said.
Gomez was pronounced dead at the scene.
