Demons Begone, who dropped out of the Kentucky Derby because of bleeding, is healthy but will be pulled from racing until spring of 1988, owner John Ed Anthony said.
“Though entirely sound, the bleeding incident in the Kentucky Derby has changed him,” Anthony said. “Prior to that race he was eager and enthusiastic and enjoyed training and racing.
“Since the incident, though at times he appears to be improving, he has generally been dull and listless and not the same as before.”
