Mylon Watkins, a three-time national Golden Gloves champion and a member of the U.S. team at last summer’s Goodwill Games, is in stable condition in Tacoma, Wash., after being shot in the chest during an argument with another man on a downtown street.
Details of the shooting are incomplete, but according to witnesses, Watkins was shot when another man struck him with a long-barreled handgun during an argument early Monday morning. The gun apparently discharged.
