Wilmington : Cleanup Day to Be July 11
The fifth Wilmington cleanup day, one of the largest in the City of Los Angeles, will be held July 11, according to harbor-area Councilwoman Joan Milke Flores.
Residents may bring rubbish and debris to any of four special collection sites that will be open between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The sites are 912 Marine Ave., 435 Neptune Ave., 1700 Figueroa St. and the intersection of Coil Avenue and L Street.
Toxic materials, such as oil and paint cans, and automobile parts will not be accepted.
The cleanup day is sponsored by Flores, Wilmington Boys and Girls Club, Wilmington Community Development Corp., Wilmington Teen Center and Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.
