An Honest Man
A house guest borrowed my car, drove to Santa Monica beach, paid the $4 parking fee and went for a swim.
When he returned a note under the windshield wiper said, “I am sorry I damaged your car. I will pay you back,” followed by a name, address and auto license number.
My friend had the damage repaired, sent a copy of the bill to the author of the note. By return mail a check for $35 came from Joe D. Barreraz.
Diogenes, you can stop looking. Your man lives in Glendale.
