Tennis Roundup : Wilander Has Easy Time in 6-2, 7-5 Win

Top-seeded Mats Wilander of Sweden coasted past countryman Thomas Hogstedt, 6-2, 7-5, Wednesday in a second-round match of the $293,400 U.S. Pro Tennis Championships at Brookline, Mass.
Wilander, ranked No. 2 in the world, broke Hogstedt’s serve three times in the first set and erased a 5-2 deficit in the second set.
In other matches, unseeded Pablo Arraya upset No. 10-seeded Jay Berger, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3; No. 4-seeded Martin Jaite of Argentina downed Barry Moir of South Africa, 6-4, 6-3, and No. 5-seeded Joakim Nystrom of Sweden defeated Roberto Saad of Argentina, 6-3, 6-2.
Guy Forget of France beat Damir Keretic of West Germany, 6-3, 6-2, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the $231,000 Swiss Open at Gstaad, Switzerland.
Ronald Agenor of Haiti surprised Tomas Smid of Czechoslovakia, 6-2, 6-3. All other matches were postponed because of rain.
