Huntington Beach : Man Says He Fell From Car, Driver Kept Going
A Laguna Niguel man was in critical condition after he apparently fell out of a car and its driver left the scene, police said Saturday.
Russell D. Burns, 18, was found injured and sitting on a curb beside Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. Police Sgt. Jim Dahl said Burns told officers he had fallen from the car. He was taken to Pacifica Community Hospital but was later transferred to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital after he passed out during the examination, Dahl said.
The accident occurred at 11:24 p.m. Friday, Dahl said.
“We really don’t know any other details. We only know he fell out of a car because that’s what he told us,” Dahl said.
