Construction began last week on the final two buildings at the 54-acre TELACU Industrial Park at the southwest corner of Olympic Boulevard and Gerhart Avenue in City of Commerce.
The California Employment Development Department (EDD) and Smart & Final Iris Co. have signed long-term leases to relocate their East Los Angeles facilities in the park, located on the former sites of the B. F. Goodrich Tire Co. and the Willard Battery Co.
EDD will occupy a 19,965-square-foot structure, and Smart & Final will move into a 12,875-square-foot building. Occupancy for both is planned for October.
