Stamps to Be Issued Displaying Felines, Carrousel Animals
Cat fanciers will find some of their favorites gracing letters next year as the U.S. Postal Service issues a set of four stamps displaying felines, the agency announced Wednesday.
Carrousel animals will also make an appearance on stamps next year, while other special stamps will include commemoratives marking the bicentennials of eight states.
States to be honored in the special series marking the 200th anniversary of the Constitution will be Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia and New York, the Postal Service said.
Stamps will be issued to mark the 1988 Olympic Games--both for the summer games scheduled in South Korea and the winter events in Canada.
