Quake Off Mindanao

HONG KONG —
A strong earthquake jolted the southern Philippines today, the Royal Observatory reported. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties. The observatory said the quake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale and that its epicenter was in the vicinity of Mindanao island.
