Chula Vista
Chula Vista police on Friday arrested an unemployed, 20-year-old man in connection with a rash of so-called hot-prowl burglaries in the Bonita area in recent months.
Michael Tony Przybylek of Bonita was being held late Friday on suspicion of committing several break-ins in the area of Sweetwater and Otay Lakes roads, Officer Doug Traubel said. Hot-prowl burglaries are break-ins in which the residents are at home.
Traubel said Przybylek was arrested at 6:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of Allen School Road. Officers had been in the area several hours earlier to investigate a complaint of an attempted break-in. Traubel said Przybylek fit the description supplied in the earlier report.
Traubel said the Otay Lakes region of Bonita has been plagued in recent months by a rash of hot-prowl burglaries.
