As predicted last week, Eddie Murphy’s “The Golden Child” has rocketed up the Billboard magazine videocassette rental chart--all the way to No. 1. But this week’s real surprise is “Crimes of the Heart,” a comedy-drama that has fooled everyone. Last week, it appeared to be starting its descent down the rental chart after a brief fling in the Top 10. Instead, the video has vaulted from No. 14 to No. 2. “Top Gun” is still No. 1 on the videocassette sales chart. “The Doors: Live at the Hollywood Bowl” debuts at No. 15 on the sales chart. It’s easily the best-selling music videocassette.

*”Something Wild,” an off-the-wall comedy-drama starring Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith, debuts at No. 23 on the rental chart. It was highly regarded by most critics when it appeared in theaters last year and is expected to have Top 10 video potential.
