A 26-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a truck on Interstate 5 on Friday, the county coroner’s office reported.
John Earl Norton, of San Marcos, was pronounced dead at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside at 12:30 a.m, according to deputy coroner Penne Hammerstead.
Norton entered Interstate 5 northbound at Tamarack Lane in Carlsbad when he collided with the truck, Hammerstead said. He was not wearing a helmet.
