Man Sought in Fatal Shooting
San Diego homicide detectives late Sunday were looking for a 22-year-old suspected in the shooting death earlier in the day of Jaime Lopez Torrez, 36.
Sgt. Jim Wallace said witnesses told police that Torrez and a man identified as Victor Ramirez were arguing Sunday afternoon when shots rang out in a house in the 3000 block of L Street. Torrez was shot in the head and chest and died at Mercy Hospital.
Wallace said Ramirez was the primary suspect in the fatal shooting but that the motive was unknown.
