A Lemon Grove man was killed when a load of roof trusses at a Vista construction site fell from a forklift, authorities in San Diego County said. Francisco Diaz, 41, was pronounced dead at Palomar Memorial Hospital of severe head injuries about an hour after the accident, deputy coroner Jack Larkie said. Diaz, a concrete finisher, was working at a site half a mile northwest of Live Oak Road and Melrose Drive in Vista when the load of six trusses on a forklift became unbalanced and overturned, Larkie said.
