Police Investigating Man’s Stabbing Death
Homicide detectives are probing the death of a 27-year-old San Diego man who was stabbed on a city street Friday night.
The victim, Mario Carlo Asuncion, was wounded during an altercation downtown shortly before 6:30 p.m. He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he died an hour later after receiving emergency treatment for stab wounds in his chest, according to the San Diego County coroner’s office.
San Diego police said the victim was stabbed during a conflict with three other people.
