Santa Ana : Police Seek Man Who Shot, Killed Disc Jockey
Homicide investigators are seeking information on a man who last weekend fatally shot a 24-year-old disc jockey as he sat in his car talking to a female companion.
The man who shot Frank Berman on Aug. 16 is believed to be Latino, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He is between about 18 and 20 years old and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers.
Berman was shot twice in the head at 2:30 a.m. in the 500 block of S. Oak Street after he finished his shift at a nightclub. He died 24 hours later at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
Police theorize the man was a robber.
Anyone with information should call investigator Bill Ehart at (714) 647-5113.
