Buena Park : Motorcycle Passenger Killed in Collision
A 19-year-old motorcycle passenger was killed when he was thrown from the bike in a collision with a pickup truck, authorities said Sunday.
Richard Michael Florian of Buena Park was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at San Carlos Way and Crescent Avenue, Buena Park police said.
The motorcycle driver, Brad Christopher Davis, 21, also of Buena Park, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was listed in critical but stable condition Sunday, police said.
The motorcycle was southbound on San Carlos Way, then turned east onto Crescent Avenue, where it collided with a pickup truck, police said. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Neither Florian nor Davis was wearing a helmet, police said.
