Five people were injured Sunday when a Southern California Rapid Transit District bus collided with a car in downtown Los Angeles and then hit a road divider, an RTD official said.

Four of the injured, three of whom were on the bus, were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, said James Smart, an RTD spokesman. The bus driver complained of injuries but was not taken to a hospital, he said.

The car ran a red light at 1st and Hill streets and hit the bus about 10:30 a.m., Smart said.
