Plumber Killed When Plywood Falls on Him
A 29-year-old plumber was killed Wednesday afternoon in a freak accident at a construction site near Mission Viejo, the Sheriff’s Department reported.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of family, died after being hit by a pile of plywood sheets that fell over, Lt. Larry Abbott said. He said the accident occurred about 3 p.m. at the construction site for the Vista del Lago Apartments, 21622 Marguerite Parkway.
The victim was flown by helicopter to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he was pronounced dead, Abbott said.
