Two Stockton boys who had just seen their mother killed by a truck-trailer rig managed to pull their baby brother and sister to safety an instant before a second vehicle slammed into their car, the California Highway Patrol said. The children’s mother, Fay Williams, 28, had been driving the car after midnight when it ran out of gas on California 99. As she was steering and pushing the car off the dark road--with her older sons Terry and Tyree Washington, ages 11 and 9, helping her--a truck came upon the car. Driver Terry Krobb, 38, swerved, but the trailer hit Williams, the CHP said. The two boys--who were unhurt--grabbed Alicia Williams, 4, and Billy Washington, 8 months, from the car and ran to safety.
