Three men jumped off a subway platform to help a passenger who had fallen onto the tracks, moving him off the rails seconds before a train roared into the station, authorities said Saturday.

Two of the rescuers rolled the unconscious man into a recess under the platform and dove in alongside, while the third rescuer scrambled back onto the platform, transit officials said.

None of the rescuers were hurt in the incident, which occurred at a mid-town Manhattan station shortly before midnight Friday. The man, who had collapsed from an apparent seizure, suffered a minor cut on the head, officials said.
