Eggheads rejoice! The brainy bunch returns to the air Suday when a new edition of “College Bowl,” hosted by Dick Cavett debuts on the Disney Channel. Sixteen universities will compete using the original format of two four-player teams buzzing their answers to a multitude of toss-up and bonus questions. California’s entry: UC Irvine. The intramural scholastic quiz show first aired over the Mutual Radio network before moving to television in 1959 for a 12-year run.
