Morton, SDSU All-American, Suspended

Kris Morton, an All-American volleyball player at San Diego State, was suspended indefinitely Friday, Sue Hegerle, assistant coach, said Monday, but school officials would not say why Morton was suspended.

“It’s a personal matter,” said Marilyn Hatcher, Associate A.D. “In personal matters, the policy is that we make no comment. We try to support the needs and concerns of the athletes.”

Morton was unavailable for comment. Coach Rudy Suwara declined comment.
