The Clippers are still waiting for final details to be worked out in their out-of-court settlement with the National Basketball Assn. of the league’s $25-million suit against the team for moving to Los Angeles from San Diego without permission.
The settlement, which calls for the Clippers to pay the league $5.6 million, has been approved by the NBA Board of Governors, a source close to the league said. NBA lawyers are still putting the finishing touches on the documents.
