A fire of suspicious origin caused an estimated $200,000 damage Sunday to two classrooms, a library and a library accessory room at Bell Junior High School, authorities said.

Garden Grove Fire Capt. Don McPherson said the early afternoon blaze was believed started by juveniles seen in the area about the time the fire broke out.

There were no injuries resulting from the fire, which started inside some lockers on the outside wall of one of the classrooms, McPherson said.

“There really wasn’t much of a fire, but we had to strip the walls apart because there was fire inside them,” he added.

Authorities said the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The school is located at 12345 Springdale St., Garden Grove.
