Parks, Hannon Lose Mixed Doubles Match

Lee Montgomery and Terry Lewis defeated Brad Parks of San Clemente and Maureen Hannon of Laguna Niguel, 7-6, 6-2, in mixed doubles semifinal play of the U.S. Open wheelchair tennis championships Tuesday at the Racquet Club of Irvine.

Montgomery, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lewis, of San Leandro, Calif., face Chantal Vandierendonck of the Netherlands and Lance Magin of San Diego today. Vandierendonck and Magin defeated Rick Cooper of Houston and Nancy Olson of Garnerville, N.Y., 6-1, 6-3.
