Nine Escape Injury in Fire in Milwaukee’s Inner City

MILWAUKEE — Nine people, including seven who jumped to safety from the second floor, escaped injury in a fire at a two-story duplex, authorities said. The blaze Monday occurred about a mile from two other inner-city apartment buildings where two fires in the last month have claimed the lives of 18 people, including 16 children.
